Police Records 

Under the direction of the Professional Staff Manager, the Police Records Specialists provide daily support to the entire Richland Police Department and our community. They perform a variety of services to include providing timely, reliable, and accurate information in response to inquiries from officers, detectives, prosecutors, courts, and the public. Records specialists utilize local, state, and nationwide databases to enter, validate, and maintain records on wanted persons, missing persons, protection orders, stolen vehicles, and stolen property.

Services provided include customer service, case records management, processing concealed pistol license applications, providing fingerprinting services for Richland residents, and administering project guardian documentation.

Police Public Records

In accordance with the Washington Public Records Act, Ch. 43.56 RCW, Police Public Records Specialists make available for inspection and copying, public records which are not specifically exempted by statute.

This division also assists in fulfilling requests for Body Worn Camera (BWC) recordings, public records requests and matter-of-right records requests. Any person(s) seeking to request public records may submit a request to the City of Richland using the City's Public Records Portal.
