The City of Richland is nestled between the Yakima and Columbia rivers. Richland's environment is home to a variety of habitats ranging from arid shrub-steppe to marshlands. The area is recognized as one of the most diverse, scenic and biologically productive systems in the entire Pacific Northwest. Water conservation and protection are very important for our community. We can’t afford to waste this precious natural resource. Our livelihood depends on it.
