Councilmember

Our  newest council member is Kurt H. Maier, who begins his term January 2. 2024. Kurt, a distinguished Information Technology (IT) engineer in Pacific Northwest National Laboratory's Environmental Molecular Sciences Division, is a specialist in high-performance computing systems architecture, deployment, and operations. Outside of work, he actively contributes to the development and management of open-source software projects.

Kurt is a married father of two, who are both in the Richland School District. In addition to his familial and professional roles, Kurt enjoys hobbies such as reading, camping, and exploring the great outdoors on a bicycle or  motorcycle. Kurt has lived in various parts of America and is a proud veteran of the United States Army.
