Fall Clean up at the curb begins November 4th and runs weekly through December 20th.
Pick-up occurs on your regularly scheduled service day. During this time, you can place extra bagged household garbage near the gray can, and extra bagged and bundled organics near the green can. To ensure your bagged organic material is composted, please use a Certified compostable bag.
You can pick up a roll for free at the Horn Rapids Landfill or Richland City Hall (one roll of 15 bags per household), or purchase them online or check your local hardware store.
Material not allowed include:
- Any item or bag over 40 pounds.
- Paints, chemicals or other hazardous waste.
- Large appliances, tires, furniture or bulky items larger than 2’x4’.
- Dry wall or other construction or demolition debris.
- Tumbleweeds, rocks, bricks, dirt, or concrete.
All material must be bagged or placed in the appropriate gray or green can.
NOTE: Your collection cans must be out at the curb with any extra bags placed near the appropriate can so drivers can reload the cans with the bags in order to dump them in the truck. Please be sure to fill cans first before placing extra bags on the ground near the can.
