Heat Alerts

Under ESHB 1329 and RCW 35.21, a residential customer, at whose dwelling utility service has been disconnected for lack of payment, may request utility service reconnect on any day for which the National Weather Service has issued a heat-related alert. Only accounts disconnected for non-payment are eligible for a heat related event reconnection.

Winter Weather 

Between November 15th and March 15th, an electric utility may not discontinue residential space heating service if the customer meets the requirements listed under RCW 80.01.040, 80.04.160 and WAC 480-100-143.
